CATsNAP

Please rescue this abandoned cat. I have been obvesrving this cat in Orchard Downs (Urbana) for more 10 days (I think it is there more than months). Although this cat is very cautious, I can help catch this cat. I emailed to CATsNAP and waiting for the reply. Winter will be very harsh for her and may take life. I cannot take her due to the restrictions for residents. Please get back to me. Thanks

Catsnap is AMAZING! They care so much about the cats in our community and they are an organization that really values putting action behind their words. About a month ago I noticed there were a few stray kitties running around my apartment complex of varying ages and sizes. I called animal control 3 times over the span of a week, each time they said they would send someone out, but no one ever came. I noticed a very small kitten was primarily living under an abandoned car right outside my window, but would hide in the sewer grate under the car if anyone came too close. I reached out to CATsNAP asking if there was anything they could do to help, and the next day I was in contact with Mercy and Linda coming up with a plan. After a few days of trying, we were able to catch the baby under the car, and the lovely women of CATsNAP helped me bathe her, clip her nails, and give her some meds. We are still working to get the other kitties to safety, but I couldn’t be more grateful for all the hard work and genuine care they have for what they do.

Really sad to see the negative reviews, I’ve adopted from them twice and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. They have an outstanding team that really, really loves cats, often times rescuing ones who were about to be euthanized. I do not find their approval process to be unreasonable, they want to make sure these cats are going to be a good fit as much as possible. I think many people getting denied are not doing their homework as to what goes into raising a cat (a quick Google search would tell you that declawing is equivalent to amputating a human’s fingers to the first knuckle). Also, their operation has expanded substantially since the first time I adopted from them five years ago. It’s really overwhelming to take care of so many cats, so I think a little patience and understanding in this process can go a long way. None of us are entitled to a cat, and we should all want what’s best for the cat rather than what we think may be best for us.

We got our beautiful baby girl, Cora, here! She is such a joy to have in our household. Everyone we dealt with during the adoption process was wonderful and had all the cats' best interests in mind. 😻🥰

We had the best experience with CATsNAP. The application process is very detailed and thorough. Freda was great to work with. We knew we wanted to adopt two kitties and we wanted a pair that were bonded or were going to be okay living in the same house. We told her what we were looking for and she knew right where to find them. They have been such great additions to our house. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new cat addition to their family.
